Penthouse Amsterdam
The spacious surface of this penthouse on the third floor of a canal house in the center of Amsterdam required an open view. The elements present lacked the light interior. By opting for a number of daring, architectural interventions, the potential of the various use spaces has been exposed. The nine-meter-long kitchen and the large fireplace in the living area irrevocably catch the eye, as well as the kitchen island with integrated dining room table. With their generous dimensions, they bring balance and tranquility to the interior, which increases the quality of life. Toilet, bathroom and storage space are located behind a facade of wengé, a material that also pops up in the other rooms. The dark shade contrasts with the light cast floor, which further emphasizes the function of the various interventions.
