LMC Architects (EN)

LMC Architects is an international design studio for architecture and interior design. The company was founded in Mumbai in 2007, by Dutch Architect Lara de Rooij. In 2016 LMC Architects opened a second office in Amsterdam. With a master’s degree in Architecture from Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands, Lara relocated to Mumbai, India in 2004 where she gained work experience and design management skills before founding LMC Architects. Since its inception the company has completed 120+ projects throughout India as well as Netherlands.

The all-women’s design team firmly believes in tangible build forms of design, the Architects and Interior designers are all devoted generalists who have an eye for detail and bring a fresh approach to each new project. For LMC durability is created by thorough analysis of the client’s requirements, meticulous detailing and keeping the lifespan of the design in mind with the required maintenance over many years. The projects span all over India, including, Ladakh, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kerala as well as all over Netherlands, such as Uitdam, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

With her strong analytical thinking and 19+ years of experience, Lara brings Dutch design, European efficiency and Indian creative hands-on elements together in all of the company’s projects.
